More about our speakers from CBP: 

Supervisory CBPO David Davis:    I am a native Houstonian, graduating from Sharpstown High School. After high school I went to Texas A&M for a year and then moved to Spain for 2 years. Upon my return from Spain, I was hired on as a contract linguist for the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). I worked there for nine years and completed my degree in Spanish at the University of Houston. In 2003, I was hired on by the US Customs Service as a K-9 handler (narcotics) in Houston. I worked with my K-9 partners for 6 years before being promoted to Supervisory Officer. As a Supervisor, I was assigned to Passenger Processing, then the Counter Terrorism Team. In 2013, I volunteered to move to the Air Cargo Trade team, which I ran for 2 years. In 2015, I moved to the Ocean Trade Team where I have been ever since.

CBPO Rose Rex-Dydek:  I started my career in Rio Grande City, TX as an Inspector with U.S.Customs Service and later transferred to Eagle Pass, TX.  In both ports I worked in trade at a user fee airport, cargo and rail. In 1999, I moved to Montreal, Canada Pre-clearance for 8 yrs. In 2007, I moved to Houston and have been in trade for 15 yrs. at the Service Port Office.

CBPO Charmaine Galindo:  I have been with U.S. Customs and Border Protection for 19 years. I have had the opportunity to work at four different ports of entry. Laredo, Texas for 8 yrs. Passenger Processing/ AT-CET / Outbound/ Administrative Senior. Nassau Bahamas, Preclearance 5 years Passenger Processing / Immigration Admissibility.  Lake Charles, LA 3 months Tdy/ Processing Cargo Ships. Houston, Texas 5 Years/ Passenger processing/ Trade (1.5 years)

Registration opens at 11:30, lunch will begin at 11:45 and our Guest Speaker will begin shortly after 12.
